If a cake contains lingonberries, for example, you can be sure there are plenty of them.

Genuine flavours are what matter to us. In our baking, we use Finnish products and we favour local ingredients whenever possible. As a rule, we make everything ourselves.

The deliciously fruity compotes and rich mousses between the cake layers are made from Finnish ingredients at our bakeries. We only use Finnish berries. We add berries generously so that their genuine flavours really shine through. The berry content of our compotes is a generous 70% and and in our mousses the ratio is roughly 50/50 between berries and dairy products. On top of all this, we make the meringues and other decorations for our cakes ourselves. The macarons on top of our cakes, which are also sold separately, are made with professional skill.

Our berries are mainly supplied by Finnish companies Kaskein and Pakkasmarja. Brandt's strawberry farm supplies strawberries in summer, and they go into treats such as the melt-in-your-mouth brita cake (meringue cake).

During the season, we employ local berry pickers and farms.

This year, too, our blueberries and lingonberries were gathered by hard-working pickers in nearby forests. Glowing in autumn colours, our Lingonberry Toffee is made from these berries. As well as berries, we use other gifts of nature in our decorations, such as twigs, cones and conifer sprigs. We buy our flowers from local businesses.

Our cakes contain plenty of dairy products. Whenever possible, we use lactose-free products. Finnish origin matters here too. Our cream, cream cheese and other dairy products are supplied by the Finnish dairy company Arla, which makes its products responsibly and with respect for the environment.

For our sandwich cakes (voileipäkakku), we use bread made by Kuivaksen Leipomo, a traditional artisan bakery in Oulu. The bakery has served the same neighbourhood since 1949. The bread for our sandwich cakes is custom-made for us. It is always delivered fresh. The main ingredients of our sandwich cakes are entirely Finnish.

We also favour Finnish suppliers for our packaging materials and cake boxes. This is made possible by the Oulainen-based packaging manufacturer Tojapak. The boxes are made in an environmentally friendly way from unbleached cardboard.
